To promote the construction of northern international shipping center actively, elevate the standard of shipping service, and boost the development of shipping market and international trade in Tianjin, Tianjin International Trade and Shipping Service Center (TJITSC) developed the Tianjin Shipping Index (TSI), which was published on September 28th, 2010, in collaboration with Tianjin Port (group) Co., LTD and Nankai University.
Tianjin International Trade and Shipping Service Center was officially put into operation on November 7th, 2005, which was an important measure of Tianjin Municipal Government for serving the northern areas of China, improving the port service environment, and speeding up the construction of international shipping center. TJITSC is committed to the working concept of integrity and excellence and combines the functions of government service, social supervision, professional talent exchange, and etc. Many shipping related government departments and shipping enterprises have settled in TJITSC, such as Tianjin Customs District of PRC, Tianjin Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Tianjin Maritime Safety Administration, and Tianjin Port (group) Co., LTD. Through co-working of government departments and gathering of enterprises, TJITSC provides concentrated, convenient, economical, and efficient customs clearance environments.
