International Grain Future Freight ( May.12 to 16)

In Week 20, 2025 (May 12 to May 16), the International Grain Future Freight (IGF) reported the future freight rate of Panamax from South America to Tianjin (soybeans) from from October to December 2025, and the trend is shown as follows:

Weather conditions in major U.S. soybean production areas remained favorable, allowing for smooth planting progress. According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture(USDA), as of now, 48% of soybeans for the 2024/25 season have been planted, compared to 34% at the same time last year and a five-year average of 37%.

In terms of the transportation market, the future freight rate remained stable throughout the week of May 12 to 16 (Mon. to Fri.), and ultimately closed at $47.75/ton, unchanged from May 9 (the last release day of Week 19).
