International Grain Future Freight ( June.3 to 6)

In Week 23, 2025 (June 3 to June 6), due to the adjusted schedule for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the International Grain Future Freight (IGF) was released four times, reporting the future freight rate of Panamax from South America to Tianjin (soybeans) from October to December 2025 and and the trend is shown as follows:

Weather conditions in the U.S. soybean production regions have been favorable, with planting progress advancing steadily. According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the current planting rate for the 2024/25 soybean season stands at 84%, compared to 77% during the same period last year and a five-year average of 80%. The current soybean emergence rate is 63%, up from 53% last year and above the five-year average of 57%.

In terms of the transportation market, the future freight rate remained stable from June 3 to June 6 (Tue. to Fri.), and finally closed at $47.75/ton, unchanged from May 30 (the last release day of Week 22).
