In Week 26, 2025 (June 23 to June 27), the International Grain Future Freight (IGF) reported the future freight rate of Panamax from U.S. Gulf to Tianjin (soybeans) from October to December 2025, and the trend is shown as follows:
According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), soybean planting for the 2024/25 season is approaching its conclusion, and soybean planting rate has reached 96%, slightly below the five-year average of 97% for this period. The current soybean emergence stands at 90%, consistent with the historical average. Soybeans have entered the blooming phase, with 8% of crops blooming, which is higher than both the same period last year and the historical average of 7%.
In terms of the transportation market, from June 23 to 27 (Mon. to Fri.), the future freight rate remained stable and finally closed at $47.75 per ton, unchanged from June 20 (the last release day of Week 25).
