International Grain Future Freight ( Aug.25 to 29)

In Week 35, 2025 (Aug.25 to Aug. 29), the International Grain Future Freight (IGF) forward freight rate trend for Panamax from Gulf America to Tianjin (soybeans) for the period of January to March 2026 is shown as follows:

Soil moisture conditions in the U.S. Midwest soybean-producing region remained favorable, with the crop’s good-to-excellent rating improving by one percentage point from the previous week to 69%, compared with 67% at the same time last year. In terms of crop progress, soybean leaf drop stood at 4%, down from 6% a year earlier and in line with the five-year average of 4%. Pod-setting reached 89%, matching the five-year average and slightly above last year’s 88%.

In the transportation market, forward freight rates remained stable during the week of Aug.25-29 (Mon. to Fri.), closing at $58.00 per ton, unchanged from Aug.22 (the last release day of Week 34).
