In Week 39, 2025 (Sep.22 to Sep.26), the International Grain Future Freight (IGF) reported the future freight rate of Panamax from US Gulf to Tianjin (soybeans) from January to March 2026, and the trend is shown as follows:

Some soybean producing areas in the United States were affected by rainy weather, resulting in a slowdown in harvesting progress. The current soybean harvest rate is 9%, which is lower than the same period last year’s value of 12% and on the same level with the five-year average; The leaf fall rate is 61%, compared to 62% in the same period last year, and the five-year average is 60%; The excellent rate is 61%, compared to 64% in the same period last year.

In terms of transportation market, from Sep.22 to Sep.23 (Mon. to Tue.), forward freight rates remained stable. On Sep.24 (Wed.), the forward freight rate slightly increased by $0.75/ton. On Thursday, the forward freight rate fell by $0.25 per ton and remained stable on Sep.26 (Fri.). In the end, the forward freight rate closed at $58.25 per ton, a cumulative decrease of 0.87% compared to September.19 (the last release day of Week 38).
