International Grain Future Freight (Nov.10 to 14)

2025-11-21

In Week 46, 2025 (Nov.10 to Nov.14), the International Grain Future Freight (IGF) forward freight rate trend for Panamax from Gulf America to Tianjin (soybeans) for the period of March to May 2026 is shown as follows:

In Brazil, uneven rainfall distribution in the main soybean-producing regions has led to delays in planting progress. Currently, the soybean planting rate stands at 61%, trailing behind last year’s 67% for the same period. In Argentina, soil moisture conditions are favorable, and dry weather is facilitating planting activities. Argentine authorities predict that the planted area for the 2025/26 soybean crop will reach 17.6 million hectares, a 4.3% decrease compared to the 18.4 million hectares planted in the 2024/25 season.

In the transportation market, from Nov.10 to 14 (Mon. to Fri.), forward freight rates remained stable, closing at $40.00 per ton, unchanged from Nov.7 (the last release day of Week 45).
