International Grain Future Freight (Dec.15 to 19)

In Week 51, 2025 (Dec.15 to Dec.19), the International Grain Future Freight (IGF) reported the future freight rate of Panamax from South America to Tianjin (soybeans) from March to May 2026, and the trend is shown as follows:

The weather conditions in Brazil’s soybean producing areas are good, which is conducive to the final sowing work. The current soybean sowing rate in Brazil is 97%. The soil moisture in the main soybean producing areas of Argentina is maintained in a favorable state, which is more suitable for soybean growth. The current soybean planting rate in Argentina is 67.3%, an increase of 8.7% from last week.

In terms of transportation market, from Dec.15 to Dec.18 (Mon. to Thur.), future freight rates remained stable. On Friday, the future freight rate slightly fell by $0.25/ton and eventually closed at $38.50/ton, a cumulative decrease of 1.28% compared to Dec.12 (the last release day of Week 50).
